Rather large shoji - 54" x 102"- in red cedar for a tea house. The bottom panels are solid cedar and the kumiko are wider than usual, 3/4" instead of 3/8", to balance with the size.
Close up of the panels showing the lovely wood tones in Western Red Cedar. Insert material is 2.0 mm Warlon Acrylic.
Six shoji that will be linked together for a double pocket room divider. They are approximately 21" x 79" x 1-3/8" in Beech wood stained a chestnut brown.
Three together a little closer up.
A close-up of the lead shoji's edge pull and inlaid Japanese Cherry door pull stained & finished.
