Jamison

This set of screens was special order without finish - the contractor will finish in black lacquer.  We shipped test pieces for them to practice with and to ensure they could mask off the Warlon successfully. This sort of thing demands a very careful masking job as unlike glass, the Warlon acrylic cannot be scraped off with a razor blade.
The penny is for scale, just to show the accurate joinery.
Elvis stepped in for scale. He is six feet tall.

Reichert Installed

A Mid-century modern renovation.
Dear Ed and Frances,

After many months of waiting, our lovely shoji is now in place and we are loving not only the design and placement, but of course, appreciating the quality, as well! Our construction took much longer than expected due to an addition in another room, but our contractor Evan wanted the shoji to be the last thing installed as he was very protective of it!
We are so pleased that we found you and that you were willing and able to custom our son’s design into the sliding shoji.  He loves it as well!  So, thank you very much for your artistry and craftsmanship and Frances, thank you for your efficiency.
With much appreciation,   C. Reichert

Chan Installed

Hi Ed and Frances,
Thanks for making the screen, its really a centerpiece of our home now! It looks beautiful. The installer found the instructions useful and was able to install it pretty much spot on. It looks great!

Hernquist installed

Another shoji screen install with a nice note from our client.
Shop pictures of these shoji here. They look really different depending on the light.

Glasgow Installed

Hi Ed and Francis,
We had our beautiful shoji screens installed this morning. They came out perfect!
The only hitch is with our window opening not being true on one side so we had to shim away from the edge at one of the bottom corners.  I will calk and paint over it with the wall color and it will not be noticeable.

And Many Thanks for these beauties -
J. Glasgow

Shoji reinstall after renovation

A previous client called needing some help. They were renovating a room, removing the tatami mat flooring and wondering how to get their shoji to fit properly at the new floor level. Received a nice note with a picture after the project was completed.

Hi Ed,
Just sending along a photograph of the Shoji door installed in my newly renovated space.
Thanks again for the support and great customer service,
Sincerely,
Marc Y.
